History Corner - The Evolution Of Solders' Gear

I;m something of a history geek. While I don;t often post on historical matters, I think this photo essay from The Telegraph (UK) on the evolution of the kit for English soldiers over the last millennium was worth sharing. In particular, check out how much more stuff troops today carry. It's also neat to see what hasn't changed; even a thousand years ago, men carried entertainment with them into battle. Of course, then it was dice, now it's an iPad. Check it out.
